Grades Served: Pre-K 3 through 8th grade
Special programs: All day Pre-K 4 year old and Kindergarten program in addition to traditional ½ day options; aftercare available until 5 pm; state-of- the-art computer lab and science lab; inter-conference athletics offered to boys and girls in grades 5-8; enrichment after-school programs offered in grades K-8; Spanish language instruction beginning in Grade 4.

St. Joseph School: A Tradition of Faith Filled Excellence
Did you know?.....St. Joseph School is the oldest parochial school in Bristol, having celebrated 100 years of Catholic Education in 2003! We look forward to kicking off our 110th year celebration in August of 2013!
The St. Joseph School Pre-K Program was the first Catholic School Pre-Kindergarten program established in Bristol, and celebrated 20 years in 2008!
St. Joseph School established an all-day Kindergarten in 2004 and an all-day Pre-K 4 Program in 2007. Both half-day and full-day Pre-K 4 and Kindergarten options are currently offered to meet the needs of our school families.
St. Joseph School successfully completed a 2 Year Self-Study and formal Re-Accreditation process in the fall of 2006. St. Joseph School has been accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges since 1996.
The Class of 2013 is the 105th graduating 8th grade class of St. Joseph School!
St. Joseph School Principal, Mark Monnerat, has led the school for 26 years as its first and only lay principal. In 2007 he was received the Hartford Archdiocesan Distinguished Elementary School Principal Award. In addition, Mr. Monnerat was also selected as the 2008 New England Region recipient of the Dr. Robert J. Kealey Distinguished Principal Award by the National Catholic Education Association in Washington, D.C.
St. Joseph School Pastor, Father Joseph DiSciacca was awarded the 2010-2011 Hartford Archdiocesan Distinguished Elementary School Pastor Award. St. Joseph School is the only school in the Hartford Archdiocese to have both its school leaders honored in such a manner.
The St. Joseph School faculty has over 240 combined years of classroom teaching experience!
Most of the faculty members at St. Joseph School are State-certified and have Masters Degrees. St. Joseph School faculty and staff have taught at the school an average of 15 years!
The teacher to student ratio at St. Joseph School is currently 1:20.
SMART Board technology was implemented in the fall of 2009 and is utilized in all SJS classrooms. A 6-station Science Lab, which accommodates 30 students, was dedicated in the spring of 2007 at St. Joseph School. The school’s 35-station Computer Lab was updated and re-dedicated in January 2013.
The 2013-14 tuition at St. Joseph Schoolfor children of active parishioners in grades K-8 equates to less than $17 per day!
Over $40,000 in tuition assistance and scholarships were awarded to St. Joseph School families in 2012! Up to $45,000 in tuition assistance grants will be available to St Joseph school families for the 2013-2014 academic year.
In 2010, 2009, and 2006, the Valedictorians at Central High School were graduates of St. Joseph School. The St. Paul High School 2006 Salutatorian, 2005 Valedictorian and 2011 Salutatorian were all graduates of St. Joseph School.

Registration materials for the 2010-2011 academic year are now available, with enrollment accepted on a rolling basis throughout the Spring and early Summer. Kindergarten and Pre-K 3 & 4 spaces fill quickly and annually there are a limited number of spaces available in our primary 1-8 grades.
