The 12^th Annual SJS Sports Banquet was held Sunday June 7^th in Guild Hall, with 61 student athletes in grades 5-8 honored by coaches, families and friends.  Following the buffet dinner and sports video, members of the following terms were recognized: cheerleading, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls basketball, baseball and softball.  Several of the teams, including the JV Girls’ Basketball team that was the Waterbury League Champion and made it to the quarter-finals in the State Tournament and the Boys Baseball team which is tied as the #1 seeded team in the current Waterbury League Play Offs, did very well this past year and as the coaches noted, all teams were competitive with both the local parochial schools as well as Bristol public schools (in the case of boys soccer).
